Processing happens in your browser
This version of RemovePII has no server processing. Your browser finds and replaces personal details.
The page does not send your text, files or replacement maps to a server. The security policy of the page blocks all network connections from the page.
You do not need an account. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
No cookies and no tracking
The site does not set cookies. It does not save your text in localStorage, IndexedDB, browser caches or service workers.
The site has no analytics, advertising, session recording or third-party scripts. Fonts and images come only from this site.
For this reason, the site does not show a cookie consent banner.
What the server receives
The server only sends the files of the page to your browser.
To send a page, the web server must receive your IP address and the address of the page. Your browser also sends standard technical headers, for example the browser name.
The web server does not keep access logs or error logs. We do not collect or store these technical data.
The hosting company of the server transmits the network traffic. It can see connection data, such as IP addresses.
Data that you keep
Text and replacement maps stay in the memory of this tab. Reload the page, close the tab or select “Clear everything” to remove them.
Clearing removes the references of the app to the data. It does not guarantee that the browser erases its memory physically.
Copied text, downloaded files and encrypted map files are under your control. The site cannot erase them.
Limits
Automatic detection uses local rules and can miss personal details. Review the full text before you share it.
Text with placeholders is not anonymous. Context and missed details can still identify a person.
Use of the site does not make you compliant with GDPR, Russian Federal Law 152-FZ, HIPAA or other laws.
If this changes
We can add accounts or server processing in the future. Before that, we will update this page and tell you on the site.
